Bryan was comprehensively educated in the East End of London, leaving school to go straight into the workplace and also become a reserve soldier. From 1986-2017 Bryan worked initially for the Security Service (MI5) and in 1988 became a police officer, serving in many departments but finally as a close protection operative. After the police he ran a B&B and battlefield touring business in France, worked back in CP privately and conducted specialist driver training.
